HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY! Here is my prayer for Nigeria today : Pastor Sam Adeyemi

Lord we thank you for the dawn of a new day and season in Nigeria.
When good people run things, everyone is glad, but when the ruler is bad, everyone groans (Prov 29:2).
We pray that you help all who lead at all levels in our country to model honesty, selflessness and love.
We pray for protection for those who lead, and for courage to enforce justice without fear or favour.
We pray that you help us citizens to be honest, patriotic, caring, and willing to serve with excellence.
We pray you help us to be law-abiding and creative, to make money legitimately and to have contentment.
We pray you help us to love our neighbour so our high hopes of today will not turn to shame.
We pray that you frustrate the thoughts and plans of those who work against the progress of our country and give us peace.
We pray that you bless those who have served faithfully and give them opportunities to serve in higher positions.
We pray that you fill the heart of every citizen with the dream of a developed Nigeria and give us grace to build it.
We declare a season of increase, favour, peace, joy, restoration and development in Nigeria.
We declare victory over mass illiteracy, poverty, diseases, prejudice, mediocrity and underdevelopment.
We declare transformation over our schools, roads, hospitals, power sector and all that make for development.
Above all, help us Lord to fear and honour you in all we do, and to put our trust in you and not in men. Amen!
