Support a Northern Christian to emerge Speaker of House of Reps.....Pastor begs Buhari
A Borno State-born
Pastor Kallamu Musa-Dikwa has urged the President-elect, Muhammadu
Buhari, to support the emergence of a northern Christian as the Speaker
of the House of Representatives.
Dikwa had, during the electioneering campaign, accused President Goodluck Jonathan of bribing officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria to support his presidential ambition in the 2015 election. “It would be in the interest of the incoming administration to have somebody from the North-East to head the House of Representatives,” Dikwa said.
In a three-page letter to Buhari on Wednesday, Dikwa said the Christian community in the North-East were watching as the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, plots to scheme out and marginalise Christians in the region “in the yet to be announced power sharing arrangements of the party.”
Dikwa also alleged that there were party stalwarts that were already insensitive to the distribution of position by consciously scheming out Christian representatives in the National Assembly.
