Mosquito bite in Africa claims another Turkish victim

Days after a Turkish Airlines flight attendant died in an Istanbul hospital after she was diagnosed with malaria as a result of a mosquito bite in Lagos Nigeria, Another Turkish businessman has died of malaria after being bitten by a mosquito in the Democratic Republic of Congo, becoming the second Turkish victim of the disease in one week.
Naci Şahin, 43, was in DR Congo when he was hospitalized with a mosquito bite. He was discharged from the hospital after his health improved, but was back at the hospital three days ago when his condition worsened.

The businessman succumbed to malaria at the hospital. His body is expected to be flown back to Turkey later this week. A Turkish Airlines flight attendant died last week in an Istanbul hospital after she was diagnosed with malaria as a result of a mosquito bite in Nigeria's Lagos.
