Rebirth Of PDP? Party Leaders Meets GEJ in Abuja Today

Strategy Review and Inter Party Affairs Committee led by Professor Jerry
Gana earlier today paid a courtesy call to former President Goodluck
Jonathan in Abuja.
The Committee presented the report
earlier submitted to the National Caretaker Committee led by Senator
Ahmed Makarfi to the former President.
Gana
presented the President with a copy of roadmap document to winning
future elections for PDP, the committee also briefed the former
President that over 10 political parties of like minds are willing to
team up with PDP, naming parties such as Labour Party, Accord Party,
APGA, National Conscience Party, Accord Party e.t.c, that talks are at
the advanced stage and that the committee are working out modalities on
how to share positions, offices for all the teaming parties.

Goodluck Jonathan thanked the committee for their efforts towards
rebuilding the party with commendation for including Youths and Women
participation in the report, he noted that the youth and women group is
about 70% of the party strength and that even in Nigeria. He posited
that without youths and women, the party cannot record any meaningful
success in the future.
He informed Prof Jerry Gana team
that he will read the report and if their is any recommendation or
suggestions, such will be communicate to the committee in writing. He
spoke at length on the recommendation of the committee on Direct and
Indirect Primaries and advised them that ex- office holders such as
Councilors, Reps, Governors, Senators e.t.c should be made automatic
delegate members to checkmate the control of politicians and their
influence on Primary elections.
The team has since left the former President's house and are now meeting with another former Party chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur
