Nigeria Military doesn't need NATO level Equipment to tackle Boko Haram : British Envoy
The British envoy to Nigeria, Mr Andrew Pocock today said that the Nigerian Army doesn't need NATO level equipments like the attack helicopters or any other sophisticated weapons in their fight against insurgency in the North East. Making the P3 ( Permanent Security Council Members Consisting US, UK and FRANCE) Position clear, Mr Pocock categorically ruled out any Equipment sales to the Nigerian Army But said that the UK government is ready to help the new Government move away from training groups of Soldiers to training Battalions.
Mr Pocock also made it clear that the UK is willing and ready to assist Nigeria stem corruption and help retrieve the stolen funds stashed in banks around the World by corrupt Nigerians, He also made it clear the UK is happy with the steps taken so far by the new Administration, Praising the President for his speech during the inauguration and bold diplomatic Steps so far.
