Photos : Latest Pictures Of 2nd Niger Bridge Confirms Slowdown Of Work at the Site

The issue of the 2nd Niger Bridge has became a contentious topic in Nigeria because of its importance to the people of the South East and South-South Region of the country...Previous governments has labored without result to start up this Iconic edifice until the immediate Past government of  Dr Goodluck Jonathan led the leaders of the Region in 2014 to the ground breaking ceremony of the bridge with so much funfair.

Fast forward to October 2015 and work has been abandoned as has always been the case of so many Government projects around the country, our correspondent who visited the site of this bridge around Oko community in Delta State just across the River Niger confirmed that work has agonizingly slowed down as a result of what the laborers described as lack of funds and the lukewarm interest shown so far by the new government.

Confirming their earlier claims, the workers confirmed that it was the effort of the past administration that brought the work this far as the new government has shown complete lack of interest in the Project.
