According to Punch news ..... A leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Senator Femi Okunrounmu, said the Yoruba people will regret voting President Muhammadu Buhari....Okunrounmu, who was the Chairman of the defunct Presidential Advisory Committee on National Conference, had supported former President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term and asked the Yoruba to vote for him so that he would be able to implement the report of the conference.

The All Progressives Congress, has promised to get involved in the subsequent political appointments of President Muhammadu Buhari....According to APC National Chairman Chief John Oyegun, Many leaders of the party are becoming uncomfortable with Buhari’s appointments.

Ex governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers on Saturday faulted the probe panel set up by incumbent Gov. Nyesom Wike to try Amaechi’s administration....Addressing APC supporters in Port Harcourt, Amaechi said the the probe panel was illegal and would not be fair to his government.

A Dornier 228 Airforce helicopter has crashed this morning at the site of the old defence Academy kaduna State Nigeria...According to NEMA, all 7 passengers on-board have been confirmed dead....The 228 dornier was on its way from NAF base in kaduna en-route Abuja. Details later....

A suicide bomber has killed five people and another 20 injured...The bomber blew himself up in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State this morning. The Director of Media and Publicity to Yobe State Governor, Abdullahi Bego confirmed that the dead have been evacuated to mortuary while the injured victims are currently being attended to by health and emergency workers.

The International Criminal Court has commenced investigation of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, for statements made about the Igbo’s in the build-up to the Lagos governorship election.In the statement, Mr. Akiolu vowed that Igbos in Lagos who voted against his preferred candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, would sink in the Lagoon.
